AL 802

Product Overview

AL 802 is a high temperature aluminum-zinc solder meant to join aluminum components, though it can also be used to join aluminum to copper. Due to its narrow melt range, AL 802 flows freely and is best suited for joints with good fit up or joints where overheating of the aluminum is a concern. Due to the zinc content, AL 802 exhibits lower corrosion resistance than aluminum-silicon filler metals such as AL 718.
  • Very fluid
  • Low temperature

Typical Industry Applications:

HVAC, heat exchanger transition joints
