We supply a wide variety of brazing and soldering flux pastes. Paste is the most common form of flux used, although they are also available as a powder flux, slurry (dispensable) flux, or as a liquid flux.
In addition to our standard fluxes, we can make flux pastes out of custom fluxes or binders to meet your needs. Pastes are available in pails, jars, squeeze bottles, syringes, or custom containers. We premix brazing or soldering flux with proprietary binders that provide adhesion and non-settling properties, and the flux pastes are adjusted to a stable dispensing viscosity for all automatic and hand dispensers.
How is Flux Paste Applied?
Paste is typically applied by brushing it on the base metals and before heating the flux paste, and adheres to the braze joint. Lucas-Milhaupt, with its chemists and technical staff, can provide customized flux formulations to meet each customers' unique challenges.
The HANDY FLUX™ is a type of flux paste that is available to meet a large variety of different brazing applications. You can learn more about the function of flux and its importance in the brazing process by visiting our page on Proper Brazing Procedure under Step 3: Fluxing the parts.
