Dispensable Fluxes

Handy-Flo Dispensable Fluxes vs. Traditional Fluxes

Because dispensable flux products are dispensed from automated systems, the labor associated with mixing and handling corrosive fluxes is eliminated. Uniform volume and placement of flux deposits also improves the joint quality, lends itself to repeatable, consistent results, and helps operators be more productive and efficient.

Advantages of disposable flux include:

  • Consistency - With dispensable fluxes, you are able to have consistent results because the flux is dispensed uniformly.

  • Reduced costs - A reduction in material cost because less flux is required to complete the joint.

  • Eco-friendly - Dispensable fluxes are more environmentally friendly than traditional fluxes because there is no dipping of parts into flux or brushing of flux, which eliminates some of the mess associated with traditional flux application when applying flux on parts.

How to Properly Use Dispensable Fluxes

Read the Technical Documents, MSDS Safety Sheets, and the warranty statements for proper storage and usage of Dispensable fluxes. Dispensable Fluxes in bulk packaging must be stirred and mixed well before applications.

For automatic dispensing as controlled dabs or sprays. This flux has the same combination of salts as Handy Flux, with additives to provide a lower (pourable ) viscosity . Type DB has an additional boron formulation for use with more refractory oxides, such as automated brazing of carbides.
